Honestly easy vegan ice cream made with 3 main ingredients. This easy, peasy, vegan ice cream is cool, tasty, healthy ish and very versatile. So listen in to me teaching a teenager how to make it in under 5 minutes. That’s for soft serve straight from the mixing bowl. NO ICE CREAM maker needed either!

Really easy in a thermomix BUT you can do it in a good food processor too.

Vegan Ice Cream

Ingredients – Vegan Ice cream

  • FROZEN BANANA SLICES
  • TAHINI PASTE
  • ALMOND OR OAT MILK if you like.. but not strictly necessary.

Once you have these ingredients simply PLAY. Add some flavourings as your palate informs you to do! Try a little coffee if you like, some cocoa powder, maybe some dark chocolate OR cinnamon. Careful if you add dates as the bananas are already sweet! Some of you may like a squirt of maple syrup (more vegan than honey!)

How to make

Slice some ripe bananas and place on a small tray, pop into your freezer to harden. Once frozen gather the slices into a freezer bag to conserve space within your freezer.

When ready to make your ice cream, simply tip 1 or 2 frozen bananas into your processor, add 1 tablespoon of runny tahini paste to your mixture. Slowly add the milk about 50 ml and combine once.

Sprinkle on a teaspoon of cinnamon and whatever your preferred flavourings are

Then just whizz up carefully, takes a few seconds in a thermomix.

Eat as is OR store in a container in the freezer for later. Take it out when you start eating dinner. It will be ready when you finish.

Sprinkle rose petals and pistachios on top for some drama!

Add a little frozen purple dragon fruit as we did for a different look and flavour!

I also made that professional looking sesame crunch in under 10 minutes, but you need to let that harden in the fridge for a while. Then you can store in the freezer and use with your ice cream as you like!
